STILL LIFE

Sitting alongside the elements, distilling an old voice in new form. Changing states of matter in three forms - Solid. Liquid. Gas.

The fluidity of waterfalls and rises again.

The river. The fire. The leaves. The resin. The bark. The wood.

In evaporation, the matter changes from a liquid to a gas.

In condensation, matter from gas to liquid.

In distillation, I reclaim the forest flora to simmer on the fire the matter in water & collect the liquid life force after the steam hits the cool.

May we all in one way or another have the opportunity to experience the positive transformation of the elements in these wild places.

My work is to evoke a sense of this knowing through scent and to the world.
